Twitter reacts as Tottenham thrash Manchester United
Manchester United's title hopes are pretty much dead now. United lost 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday and are now 15 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Tottenham opened the scoring just 11 seconds into the game thanks to a superb finish from Christian Eriksen. 28 minutes later, the hosts went 2-0 up after Phil Jones scored past his own keeper in utterly ridiculous fashion,
Jose Mourinho's men struggled on Wednesday night and now have rivals Liverpool just three points behind them in the Premier League table.
Here's how Twitter reacted to Manchester United's fourth league defeat of the season.
Phil Jones' own goal
The Manchester United and England defender had nowhere to hide after his performance on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old's first-half performance will be one to forget.
Jones might not want to login to Twitter anytime soon.
Fellaini on and off in 7 minutes
There was a bizarre moment involving United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
After coming on as a substitute to replace Jesse Lingard in the 63rd minute, the Belgian international would then be taken off seven minutes later as Ander Herrera replaced him.
It is believed that the midfielder picked up an injury in the space of seven minutes.
Twitter users were not going to hold back with this one.
