Twitter Reacts - The Best Of Twitter from last week's matches
This weekly roundup covers the world of Twitter, which doesn’t disappoint very often. This past weekend, Twitter was ablaze with a number of rants, some proper banter, a number of videos and comical tweets that we round up in this weekly article.
We start off in the Champions league with Borussia Dortmund making history as the team which won the highest-scoring game in the Champions League. Dortmund beat Legia Warsaw 8-4 by full time in a game of, it’s fair to say, unbelievable proportions.
By the time 29 minutes had passed, the score was 4-2 already, and Gary Lineker summed up that frantic start in classic fashion.
29 minutes gone and Dortmund lead Legia Warsaw 4-2. Hopefully it will open up in the 2nd half.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) 22 November 2016
Paddy power also got in on the act after the next goal, urging people to watch the game with this tweet.

AFTER 32 MINUTES... https://t.co/DMElMVk730
Dortmund’s official twitter account was also rather amused at what was unfolding.

Twitter is where ordinary people transform into heroes within minutes, and this random bloke found the Dortmund official twitter quite funny.

And they won some fans as well.
shoutout to @BVB twitter guy for giffing faster than the goals come in #UCL #bvbleg #Dortmund
— Jishnu Nair (@jishnair98) 22 November 2016
And one guy even threatened to do this... We’ve all been there, man!
If Dortmund score 10 I'm deleting my twitter
— Jonny Bling (@_JonHanna) 22 November 2016
The Dortmund twitter account manager got tired by the end of the game, clearly.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League, it was a week to forget for Tottenham Hotspur and their fans after they crashed out of the UEFA Champions League, losing 2-1 to Monaco and going out of the tournament with 1 game to spare, but it was just beginning for them. Twitter was merciless as usual, plus it was Tottenham and you know how it is with the Spurs.

One lad got it spot on.
Pochettino: “We were very excited to play in the Champions League but we cannot change the fact we are Tottenham.” Perfectly put.

Arsenal drew to PSG 2-2 in a really poor game, and even Opta had a little dig at both teams.
2009 - Arsenal v PSG is the first Champions League match to have more goals than shots on target since Rangers v Unirea in Oct 2009. Quirky.
— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) 23 November 2016
This guy got so bored during the game that he started a face time chat with his girlfriend!

Meanwhile, this lad dubbed the French league as “full of farmers”!

There were some positives though, like Lionel Messi’s superb performance against Celtic that had this guy calling him “a whole team on his own”
Definitely, Messi was everywhere vs Celtic tonight.

Premier League champions Leicester went through to the knockouts after their 2-1 win over Club Brugge. They are still unbeaten in the UEFA Champions League and they’re definitely going for it, ladies and gentlemen!
They won't win any Champions League games, they said... #lcfc pic.twitter.com/5tYotCSKhi
— Cool As Leicester (@coolasleicester) 22 November 2016
I'll tell you why. Because Leicester City are Champions & in knock-out stages of Champions League. Leicester. City. https://t.co/PXjfycKU3V
— Andy Burnham (@andyburnhammp) 26 November 2016
So who is betting on Leicester to win the Champions League?
Now coming to the EPL this weekend, where the biggest game was without a doubt the London derby at Stamford Bridge, between rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
This is how David Luiz was training for the game though.

Spurs’ abysmal record at Stamford Bridge was the main concern for most fans/pundits etc even though they went 1-0 up.
Cracking goal from Eriksen. Come on Spurs, I'm sick of that bloody Stamford Bridge record.
— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) 26 November 2016
Pedro and Victor Moses sealed it for Chelsea, who won 2-1 on the night and this guy came up with perhaps the best tweet.
Goal IV would be based on Moses! Read it here first .
— Super Zouma (@aunsid) 28 November 2016
While Rio Ferdinand was more agitated by Moses’ winner than most Spurs fans.

And this was David Luiz after the game. That old Geezer.

The banter did not stop there with a particular highlight coming via Chelsea’s long-serving left back Ashley Cole. This Spurs fan picked banter with the wrong guy after he told Cole that he thought he was dead. Cole replied spectacularly.
Like your title hopes https://t.co/lAw0U0uuES

Well done Ash!
Opta delivered the final word via a stat. These Opta twitter account managers are quite ruthless, to be honest.
26 - Chelsea have won 26 games against Tottenham in the Premier League; their most against one side in the competition’s history. Brag.
— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) 26 November 2016
Meanwhile, Opta ‘Joke’ continued its superb form after United drew 1-1 with West Ham yesterday.
77,466 - Number of Man United fans who just deleted their tweet saying Jose Mourinho will win the league for them this season. Special.
— OptaJoke (@OptaJoke) 27 November 2016
Jose Mourinho was sent to the stand for this criminal act!

Manchester City beat Burnley at Turf Moor and this fan was suggesting something sinister, perhaps.
Rather funny how Burnley manage a defensive masterclass against Man Utd and then collapse versus Man City. Good work.
— Liam Canning (@LiamPaulCanning) 26 November 2016
And this Liverpool fan even dubbed them Barcelona.
Burnley decide to turn into Barcelona when playing against us but become a Sunday league pub team against and Man City. Cheers lads.

Burnley fans weren't too happy, though.

Arsenal won 3-1 at the Emirates against Bournemouth as well thanks to Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott. But we all need is a girl who looks at us like this.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard retired this week but his old club continued their superb form winning 2-0 at Sunderland. Sunderland’s Victor Anichebe seems to have a nice little fan following for himself after these fans were spotted before the game.
