Twitter reacts to Paul Pogba's 30 yard screamer for France
Paul Pogba has come under heavy criticism off late as a result of poor performances on the pitch for both Manchester United and France. The Frenchman was rated the worst player on the pitch by Le Equipe in France’s last international outing against Bulgaria.
Pogba’s teammate and French captain Hugo Lloris cited a case of burnout and fatigue due to their exploits at Euro 2016, where France reached the final, he said, “There are a lot of players who played in the Euros and experiencing physical difficulties at this moment.
“Their preparation was not ideal for the new season. Paul is one of them. And he has to take on a record transfer to Manchester United. There are lots of little things that have slowed him. But we all know he has many qualities and talent – that’s why we’re demanding of him. But things will go well for him with work.”
Lloris added, "I can understand the high expectations around him.” "There are also [some expectations] from the dressing room and also from the staff and the coach."But France is a team and not only one player. We have to be complementary to get the best performance. "Paul has everything to be a great player but we always ask him to back that up. He can show it in a big game tomorrow [Monday].”
Pogba did respond, and in spectacular fashion. The French midfielder scored a 30 yard belter of a goal for France against the Netherlands last night. His goal was the winner as France won the game 1-0.
Take a look at the swerve on this one.

Finally caught up with Pogba's "thunderbolt". Huge swerve but fair to say the keeper should've done better?

Pogba's display last night proved that he is world class as long as the rest of the team is precisely selected based on his abilities

Funny how it went from "lol bet Man Utd wish they still had Pogba" to "Pogba will never join Utd" to "we'd better say Pogba is overrated"

Pogba has certainly showed flashes of brilliance in his performances, but hasn’t performed consistently enough for critics to stop slating him. The Frenchman, is only 23 and has a wealth of time to improve his game. Perhaps it is in fact burnout that Pogba is experiencing.
However, this goal will definitely boost the player’s confidence before Manchester United’s game against Liverpool next week.
