UEFA announces shortlist for the 2013-14 UEFA Best Player in Europe Award
Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid has been shortlisted for the 2013/14 UEFA Best Player in Europe Award alongside Bayern Munich duo Manuel Neuer and Arjen Robben, UEFA has announced.
The other seven players for position four to ten have already been announced:

The winner of the prestigious award will be decided in a live vote in Monaco on 28 August ahead of the UEFA Champions League group stage draw for the upcoming new season.
Created in 2011 under an initiative from Uefa president Michel Platini and European Sports Media group, the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award is an association football award given to the player who has performed up to the highest level in Europe.
The previous three awards have been won by Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in 2011, his teammate Andres Iniesta in 2012, and most recently Franck Ribery of Bayern Munich in 2013.
