UEFA Champions League: CSKA Moscow given partial stadium ban

CSKA Moscow given partial stadium ban for next Champions League game

CSKA Moscow will have to play their next UEFA Champions League game with part of the stadium empty.

The club, whose next game is against Bayern Munich, have been handed the ban by UEFA, following enquiries made into the alleged racism chants against Yaya Toure by the fans, during their match against Manchester City.

If it can be recalled, Yaya Toure complained that the fans sang monkey chants in the stadium during the game and even called for black football players to boycott the 2018 World Cup that is set to be played in Russia.

UEFA launched an enquiry into the matter and have found CSKA Moscow guilty, giving them the partial stadium ban for the game against Bayern Munich.
