UEFA Europa League: Fenerbahce, Besiktas replaced by APOEL Nicosia and Tromso
APOEL Nicosia and Tromso were drawn from all of the teams eliminated in the Europa League play-off round to replace Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce, according to a statement on FIFA.com.
Besiktas and Fenerbahce both had their appeals against exclusion rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
The Turkish clubs have been excluded due to the roles they played in a domestic match-fixing scandal in 2011.
APOEL will replace Fenerbahce and Norwegian side Tromso will replace Besiktas, ahead of the Europa League group stage draw which will take place in Monaco tonight (Friday 29th August).
