REUTERS - West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini is "very happy" at the Premier League club and is confident the side can improve next season after an indifferent campaign, the Argentine said on Tuesday.

Lanzini missed the first six games of the season with a knee injury but has since netted eight goals in 38 appearances, including the winning strike in a 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur that secured top-flight safety for West Ham on May 5.

The 24-year-old is contracted to the 12th-placed club until 2020 but media reports have linked him with a possible move to either Everton or Liverpool.

"We did not have a good start of the season, but now we need to think in the next game and the next season," Lanzini told the club's website. (www.whufc.com)

"For now, I am thinking of the next game then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here.

"Next year, if we work hard, we will get a better result."

West Ham travel to 15th-placed Burnley in their final game of the season on Sunday.
