Video: AC Milan coach Allegri looks ahead to match with Napoli
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said that Mario Balotelli needs to grow ‘technically and tactically, but also mentally’ ahead of their game against Napoli during a news conference in Milan, Italy on Saturday (September 21st).
Massimiliano Allegri, AC Milan coach, said: “Tomorrow for us will be a difficult match. It will be difficult for us and also for them. It will be a balanced match that will required a lot of attention and consistency. They have great players in the front.”
“(Gonzalo) Higuain is a devilish player because it seems like he’s not in the match but actually he’s always present. (Marek) Hamsik is becoming stronger year after year. And he’s proving to be one of the stronger players in Europe. (Lorenzo) Insigne is a young boy that this year is starting matches.”
“I think by now Napoli have scored many goals and conceded just a few. They have a dense squad. He (Benitez) is quite good at compacting his teams. It will be a very difficult match for us but, I repeat, also for them. It will be complicated but it is necessary to be aware because, in open field, have players that are capable to hurt you.”
“They have an squad that doesn’t give away much room. Little deepness. So it will be necessary to be clever and above all give them space overall when we are attacking because, when they counter-attack, they are capable of doing a lot of damage.”
