Video: Alex Hales gets Nottingham Forest fans chanting
Alex Hales, the English and Nottinghamshire opening batsman who was recently named in he Test squad against Pakistan, is a self proclaimed Nottingham Forest fan and was recently spotted at his team’s match against Birmingham City. Alex Hales, who recently played in the T20 Championship for Nottinghamshire, was seen cheering the Nottingham Forest players from the stands and also got spectators to join in and chant along.
Nottingham Forest, who finished 14th in the Championship last season, are currently in the 9th position after playing seven matches this season.
Hales stands at 6 feet 5 inches has a destructive range of drives and cuts, and has been called the next Pietersen due to his destructive batting. He had a disappointing series against Australia but has been picked for the Pakistan tour in UAE after good performances in the recently concluded T20 Championship and First Class cricket.
Sports are in his genes as his grandfather once took Rod Laver to five sets at Wimbledon.
