Video: Bath, Begiristain and Gandini reflect on Champions League draw

Reaction to the Champions League draw on Thursday in Monaco including officials from Manchester City, Chelsea and AC Milan.

Neil Bath, Chelsea Youth Development Officer:
“That’s the absolute message. (Juan) Mata has been our player of the year for the last two years. He is absolutely a key player in the club and Juan is not going anywhere.”

Txiki Begiristain, Manchester City Sporting Director:
“The (transfer) market finishes on September 2nd at 11 o’clock – until that then football is always giving you some options. But we are very, very, happy with the squad as it is now. But we can improve…
Reporter: Is that a defender maybe?
“Maybe. We are having some injuries and maybe we will try to improve this area.”

Umberto Gandini, AC Milan Vice-Chairman:
“There are a few teams who are very, very good. Barcelona are one of them. I like to think that Milan is one of the contenders. When you are playing group stages you have to think and consider the circumstances when you play. You can have a suspended player, a couple of injuries. You can have different factors that can change you. Football is very very different when you play knockout so I am happy to have Barcelona in the group.”
