Video: No Pirlo? No problem! Carlos Tevez scores from a great free-kick against Roma

Juventus’ Carlos Tevez (L) scoring from a free-kick against AS Roma

It was tough fought draw for home-side Roma who managed to keep Italian champions Juventus at bay with a score-line of 1-1 with goals from Carlos Tevez and Seydou Keita.

It was Carlos Tevez who gave Juventus the lead with a perfectly placed free-kick which found its way into the left top corner in the 64th minute of the match. What makes the goal special is the way the ball went into the net.

The free-kick was awarded to Juventus following a foul from Roma defender Vasilis Torosidis who was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.

A curve like this is no joke!

However, things didn’t really go Juventus’ way, who were without their two midfield dynamos – Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba, after former Barcelona player Seydou Keita was successful in scoring the equaliser with a deflected header.

Post-match, when asked about his free-kick, the Argentinean star admitted saying it was his teammate Andrea Pirlo who has been helping him with his set-pieces.

"I always see Andrea in training and it's important for me to copy his style a little," he said. "He's my model. Who'll have precedence when he returns? Andrea, without a doubt."
