Video: Cristiano Ronaldo poses with Conor McGregor at Las Vegas training camp
Irish professional mixed martial artist, Conor McGregor, had a visitor at the gym in Las Vegas and it wasn’t just any visitor but footballing superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Competing mainly in the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight categories, Mcgregor is currently the UFC featherweight champion. The 28-year-old is in the World’s fight capital training and is preparing for the highly-anticipated rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on August 20.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been holidaying post the Uefa Euro 2016 success with Portugal, took the time to visit the featherweight champion in Las Vegas. The pair then posted a picture on Instagram, with great respect for each other. There was even a video posted by Instagram page Bench Warmers, showing the two professionals squaring off in the octagon.

Conor McGregor, himself, posted a picture on his Instagram page, thanking the Real Madrid forward for showing up at his training camp.
My brother Ronaldo dropped by the gym today! He is an animal. Thank you @cristiano, much respect! I will see you for that Forbes number 1 spot next year. #ThisIsTheMacLife
McGregor gave a friendly warning to Ronaldo, challenging him for the Forbes No.1 spot for next year. Ronaldo had recorded earnings of $88m in 2016, while McGregor earned $22m as specified by Sky Sports.
After suffering a knee injury in the final of the Uefa Euro 2016, Ronaldo’s night in the final had come to a premature end and the 31-year-old also shed tears as he was not able to play much of a role in the final for Portugal but as fate would have it, the Selecao emerged victorious in France and now Ronaldo is recuperating and getting in shape for the next season.
Real Madrid lost by a point to arch-rivals FC Barcelona in the 2015-16 La Liga season and with the mastermind manager Zinedine Zidane in-charge of his first full season, Ronaldo and team will be hoping to reclaim La Liga from Barcelona after winning the Uefa Champions League by beating Atletico Madrid in the final.
