Video: FA Cup highlights - Manchester United in shock defeat, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea cruise

The third round of the FA Cup has historically proven to spring upsets. This year was no different, as Manchester lost to Swansea at home in the result of the round.

Manchester United 1 – 2 Swansea City

Swansea heaped the pressure on David Moyes, as Manchester United lost at Old Trafford yet again. The visitors grabbed an early goal through Wayne Routledge with a delightful dink over the keeper. Javier Hernandez equalised within 3 minutes of the restart with a well taken goal. Second half substitute, Fabio, did not lasted under three minutes on the pitch, being sent off for an over the top challenge. Wilfried Bony scored the winner in the dying seconds of the game to earn a famous victory at Manchester.

Liverpool 2 – 0 Oldham Athletic

Second string Liverpool did the job against league one outfit Oldham. A rare goal from summer recruit Iago Aspas gave the home side the lead early into the second half. An own goal in the 84th minute by the visiotors was enough for Liverpool to book a spot in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Derby County 0 – 2 Chelsea

Derby succumbed to a home defeat against Chelsea in a match which the hosts domminated in the first half. However, the Chelsea firepower was too much for the championship side to handle. John Obi Mikel glanced in an easy second half header following a set piece situation. The second came soon after from Oscar, who thumped in an arrowing shot from the penalty box, to hand The Blues an easy progression to the next round.

Arsenal 2 – 0 Tottenham Hotspur

The Gunners won the North London derby, in a epic played at the Emirates. Santi Cazorla gave the home team the lead following good work from youngster Gnabry. The next goal came in the 62nd minute after Tomasz Rosicky caught Danny Rose in possession at the half way line and had a free run at goal. Arsene Wengers win will be bittersweet as Theo Walcott was stretchered off in the latter stages of the match.
