Video: Gerard Pique reveals his three toughest opponents

Barcelona’s Gerard Pique has revealed the three toughest opponents he has played against in an interview with Unscriptd. The Barcelona defender has gone with three of the best forwards in our generation naming Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Robert Lewandowski as the three toughest opponents he has ever faced.

He was effusive in his praise to Drogba saying:

“Drogba is one of the best strikers I have ever seen, he had pace, was really strong and was good in the air.”

Pique also showed no bias when he picked Cristiano Ronaldo, calling him “one of the best players in the history of this sport.” The defender and the Real Madrid man have had their differences in the past but, Pique did not hesitate in naming the Portuguese superstar as one of the best players he has ever faced.

The third name Pique picked was Robert Lewandowski. Pique spoke about how difficult it is ti defend against complete players like the Polish striker saying:

“ He is tall, good in the air, capable of shooting with both legs. It gets really tough to defend against such players because you cannot predict what they will do next.”

The Spanish defender also told that he did not pick Messi, Neymar and Suarez because their “battles” were confined only to the training ground.

Pique has definitely played with and against some of the world's best and his three choices will definitely cause problems to any defender in the world.
