Video: Genius or lucky? Marseille's Gignac assists a goal with a bicycle kick

Marseille's French forward Andre-Pierre Gignac (R) vies with Reims' French defender Antoine Conte to assist Andre Ayew’s goal

During last week’s Ligue 1 2-2 draw between Marseille and Reims, the brilliance of Andre-Pierre Gignac was in the showcase yet again as he helped set up a goal for his team-mate with a bicycle kick assist.

With the score tied at 1-1. Andre Ayew gave Marseille the lead following a diversion created by Gignac who attempted to slot the ball himself into the net with a bicycle kick. He surely may have failed to connect the ball, but luring the goalkeeper away was more than enough that he could do.

Marseille are second in the league table, but after losing out on two crucial points at home, they could lose their spot to PSG who have a point less than them with a game in hand.

Watch the 29-year-old pull off this what we could call either a genius move or a fluke.
