Video: Jack Wilshere's stunning half-volley in 4-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion

Jack Wilshere celebrates scoring his goal for Arsenal in 4-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion

Jack Wilshere marked his 100th Premier League appearance by unleashing a stunning left-footer from outside the penalty box, scoring the third goal in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in what was their last match of the 2014/15 season. A hat-trick by Theo Walcott, combined with Wilshere’s moment of brilliance, completely floored West Brom, who were the unfortunate victims of very bold finishing touches to Arsenal’s league campaign.

In a heartwarming turn of events, both Walcott and Wilshere ran over to the team dugout to celebrate their goals with outgoing physiotherapist Declan Lynch, who has been instrumental in the recovery of both the stars from long-term injuries.

This was the Gunners’ joint second biggest victory this calendar year, ideal preparation as they approach a record 19th FA Cup final appearance on Saturday against Aston Villa. By finishing third, Arsenal avoided having to play in a two-legged playoff to get into the Champions League.
