Video: Kaka initiates counter-attack and runs 60m to score from narrow angle in MLS

Kaka scored the second goal as Orlando City beat the Colorado Rapids 2-0

Kaka maybe 33 years old, but he hasn’t lost one bit of the quality that saw him win the Ballon d’Or in 2007. Now playing for Olrando City in the MLS in the United States, the Brazilian midfielder just scored his eighth goal of the season.

The goal now sees him joint second on the season’s goalscoring charts along with Sebastian Giovinco. The two are behind only Kei Kamara (12 goals).

In the match against the Colorado Rapids, the score was 1-0 when the Rapids had a corner kick. The ball was cleared from the danger zone and Kaka sprinted to the right flank in his own half to control it. He sent forward a long pass and a one-two move saw Cristian Higuita in space with three defenders in front of him.

But as he looked to his right, there was Kaka and his pass found Kaka at the edge of the box on the right side. With one defender and the goalkeeper to beat from a narrow-angle, he dribbled into the box and shot past the outstretched boot of defender Drew Moor and the goalkeeper to score with the ball going into the bottom left corner.

It was enough for the fans at the Orlando Citrus Bowl to go absolutely wild.
