Video: Romelu Lukaku goes into stands and apologises to fan he hit with shot
Everton striker, Romelu Lukaku, apologised and hugged a fan whom he mistakenly hit while practicing shooting before his side's game against Southampton. The tall Belgian is seen walking up the stands, shaking hands with the lady and giving her a tight hug.
At a time where there's so much negativity being thrown around by the likes of Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal and more, Lukaku went back to simple times and showed the world what a true gentleman he is and made a convincing case as to why this is still the beautiful game. The crowd at St Mary's are more than appreciative of this gesture and applaud the Belgian as he walks up and apologises.
The ex-Chelsea star then went on to disappoint the home crowd by scoring two good goals for the visitors as Everton ran out 3-0 winners against a hapless Southampton side with Englishman Ross Barkley scoring the other goal.
Southampton are still to record a win this season. They drew with Newcastle United last week and completely failed to show up this time around. The Saints travel to Watford next week and will take on Enrique "Quique" Sánchez's men – who've struggled to impose a game themselves.
Everton, meanwhile, performed spectacularly against The Saints and good guy, Lukaku, was at the heart of all their moves. Next up, they face Manchester City at home and will hope they're able to score a few points.
