Video: 27-pass build-up to Alvaro Morata's goal against Real Madrid

Former Real Madrid man Alvaro Morata gave Juventus an early lead as he latched onto a low drive from Carlos Tevez that was parried away by Iker Casillas. The young striker chose not to celebrate his goal out of respect for his former club.

The goal itself was a simple tap-in but the build-up to the goal was sublime. Something, you expect from a side like Barcelona but not often Juventus who are more popular for their stellar defence and attacking on the counter.

There were 27 passes in the build-up to the first goal of the night in the ninth minute. The home side kept possession for nearly a minute before Marchisio played Tevez in and Casillas’ save fell to Morata who guided the ball into the back of the net.

It is the highest number of passes leading to a goal this season in the Champions League.

See if you can count them all!
