Video: Nemanja Matic scores brilliant bicycle kick goal for Serbia against Portugal
Nemanja Matic is well known at Chelsea for his well-timed interceptions and his calm circulation of the ball. What he isn’t known very well for is scoring goals, especially one that came as a result of a sensational bicycle kick.
The goal came around the hour mark when the Serbian was left unmarked on a corner, and as the ball came to him, he swivelled wonderfully to execute a beautiful bicycle kick and sent the ball flying past Rui Patricio in the Portugal goal.
Considering that Matic is pretty tall, this effort of his is really quite commendable. His goal though wasn’t enough to help Serbia get a result against Portugal, as they lost 2-1.
