Video: NorthEast United FC's official anthem 'We Are The 8'

The Indian Super League kicks off on 12 October with eight franchises competing for the trophy – one of them being North East United FC.

And the club has released an anthem named ‘We are the 8’ – a song with a mixture of different music genres sung in English, which is the most commonly spoken language in North East India. NEUFC is the only team to have players from eight states in their squad.

The song was composed by Papon and has a number of star musicians and singers like Lou Majaw, Zubeen Garg, Guru Rewben Mashangva, Rudy Wallang, Tipriti, Boomarang, Alobo Naga, Tetseo Sisters and more. The lyrics were written by Nima Namchu.
