Q: Reporter: Do you think he has got what it takes to survive in the Premier League physically?
A: “At this moment, he is still an Ajax player. There are no signatures. But I think he can be a surprise. If he moves to England – he can be a surprise.”

Edwin Van der Sar, Ajax marketing director:
“It’s nice and (there are) great times (with a) great history between the clubs. I think it can be very difficult for Ajax and Celtic I think. I am not worried. I am looking forward to it and I think the players also (will be excited). They will be sell outs in Amsterdam and it’s going to be a great stadium to play in against all three clubs.”

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern Munich chief executive (on Franck Ribery)
“He has a very good evolution. When he came he was really a very good player. Maybe now he is in his best period since he has been playing for Bayern. He has now had six years playing at Bayern so we are very happy of having him in Munich.”
