Video: PSG's Verratti and Cavani show how to score the perfect goal from a quick free kick

PSG striker Edinson Cavani scored a hat-trick against Guingamp

Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Guingamp 6-0 on Friday night to bring them closer to a hat-trick of Ligue 1 titles. Edinson Cavani scored a hat-trick while Zlatan Ibrahimovic got a brace. Maxwell also got on the scoresheet on a night where Guingamp were outclassed.

If PSG win their last two games, they will win the Ligue 1 title and also become the first club in France to try and win all four domestic trophies in one season. They already won the Champions Trophy (equivalent to the Community Shield in the EPL) and the French League Cup. They are also in the final of the French Cup where they play Auxerre, a club from the second tier.

Although it was a match filled with some great goals, the best goal of the six was probably the fifth goal when PSG got a free kick in Guingamp’s half. Moustapha Diallo had fouled Lucas Moura and Marco Verratti came up to take the free kick. While Diallo was still getting to his feet, Verratti spotted Cavani making a run into the box.

The Italian midfielder immediately lobbed the ball over the defence before the defenders even knew what was happening. The ball into the box was perfect and all Cavani had to do was meet it with his right foot to pass it into the opposite bottom corner.
