Video: Florentino Perez confronts Cristiano Ronaldo prior to Paris Saint-Germain clash

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he is unsure about finishing his career at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has been hinting a possible exit from the Santiago Bernabeu in recent weeks, insisting that he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, but he’s happy with his life at the Spanish capital for the time being.

Prior to Los Blancos’ clash against Paris Saint-Germain in Champions League Match Day 4 on Tuesday night, club president Florentino Perez was caught on camera confronting the Portugal captain as he heads his way to the team’s dressing room.

Perez had greeted each and every member of his Galacticos squad when they stepped down from the team bus, but Ronaldo was surprised by the president’ s approach.

“We need to talk. What did you say? We have to talk,” said Perez questioning the former Manchester United player.

The Portuguese star who was visibly stunned by the confrontation, replied saying, ‘‘what did I say?”

Judging by the video evidence, the exchange between the duo was light-hearted but with a slightly cynical edge to it.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner carried on from the short conversation he had with the president and then made his way into the stadium. Perez ended the confrontation by giving Ronaldo a gentle slap on the face.

“I didn’t say that. I didn’t say that. I said something else,” Ronaldo said as he walked passed him.

It’s no surprise that the French champions are keen on bringing the Portuguese to the Parc des Princes and the club’s president Nasser El-Khelafi might have dropped a hint by insisting that if they were to ever negotiate with Ronaldo in the future, the negotiations would be in ‘secret’.

“Ronaldo has a contract with Real and we respect that,” he said in an interview.

“Negotiations would be in secret but nothing for now.”
