Video: Real Salt Lake scores brilliant team goal with just four touches

Real Salt Lake scored one of the best team goals recently against Columbus Crew

Real Salt Lake scored an incredible set-piece goal which could easily be one of the finest team goals in recent memory. The goal came against Columbus Crew on Saturday when four players combined brilliantly using one-touch football to finish off the move.

The free-kick taker Luke Mulholland hesitates for a while and gives a short pass to one of his teammates Kyle Beckerman who tries to find space in the box. Initially this looks like a last resort by the Mulholland after failing to put in a cross in time. But later does one realise that it was a well-rehearsed move as the player quickly scoops the ball over to the overlapping Joao Plata.

Meanwhile, the Olmes Garcia who is standing next to the free-kick taker Mulholland runs into the box and waits there while being completely unmarked. This whole move catches the whole Crews defence off-guard, as they frantically try to close the Plata who is running down the wings. But he wastes no time in heading the ball into the path of his unmarked teammate.

The onrushing Garcia finishes off the move by tapping into the net. All this happens in a matter of seconds and four touches by the Red Salt Lake players.
