Video: Reason for Jose Mourinho to go for Paul Pogba

Chelsea’s current squad is often up for debate. With two players for each position, we have already seen Jose Mourinho rotate his players to compete in three different positions so far this season.

One position in the team that has always been up for debate is the holding midfield role and I still believe that Mourinho is still trying to find the right balance. With Oriol Romeu out on loan and Michael Essien hardly featuring at all, we have seen a mixture of Lampard, Ramires and Mikel fill those positions but according to this report, Jose remains unconvinced and is pondering a move for Juventus’ £25m rated Paul Pogba in the January transfer window!

Now being honest, I do not know a lot about Pogba. I know of him and the fact he used to be at Manchester United and left for Italy, but that is as far as it goes – until now.

As ever, I try and conduct some research on these rumours to see if there is any substance and try and see if I can find clips of the players we are being linked with. The video below tells me all I need to know about Pogba and as far as I am concerned, he is a MUST for January.

Comfortable playing deep in the holding role, in the middle of midfield as a box to box midfielder or even as an attacking midfielder, Pogba has it all. Two footed and most importantly of all really, really comfortable on the ball, Pogba has come on leaps and bounds since he moved to Italy a year ago.
