Video: Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovic saves his sixth penalty in a row

Samir Handanovic captured moments before his save to deny Yevhen Konoplyanka a goal from the penalty spot during Inter’s Europa League tie against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Slovenian goalkeeper Samir Handanovic continues to be one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Europe as he made his sixth consecutive penalty save in all competitions during Inter Milan’s 2-1 win over Dnipro in their Europa League Group F tie.

After being a goal down at home following a goal from Ruslan Rotan in the first 15 minutes of the match, Inter were in deep trouble after conceding a penalty in the 28th minute. But, it was Handanovic’s superb reading skills that kept out penalty taker Yevhen Konoplyanka from doubling Dnipro’s lead. Inter would eventually go on to win the match with goals from Zdravko Kuzmanovic and Pablo Osvaldo.

"It's my job to make saves and I try to do it as best I can," the 30-year-old goalkeeper said after the game.

Despite Inter’s inconsistent defensive performance, Handanovic continues to showcase his talent. His previous five saves prior to this match came up against Maxi Lopez (Sampdoria), Antonio Cassano (Parma), Marcelo Larrondo (Torino), Andrea Cossu (Cagliari) and Luca Toni (Verona).
