Video: Scolari focusing on 'vital' Mexico clash
Brazil trained and spoke on Tuesday (18th June) ahead of their 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup Group A match against Mexico on Wednesday (19th June).
Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil Head Coach
“I have an idea on how Mexico play and, perhaps, facing Brazil could give their athletes a mental boost to show that they are superior compared to Brazilian football, or evolving faster than us. But we have to know that, at some stage, we didn’t even know the way we played, how it was played, a series of details. We have to focus ourselves on tomorrow’s game. Tomorrow’s game is vital for our qualification.”
“The national team belongs to people. We are from the people. I believe we are giving the people and supporters what they want from the national team, that means, improvement from our side, making them happy and really represent Brazil in football, according to the wishes of the people. This is our job, that’s what we are doing. Regarding other areas, we do not interfere.”
