Video: The most incredible equaliser in the history of FA Cup by Steven Gerrard

The 2006 FA Cup final was played between Liverpool and West Ham United. Alan Pardew’s side took a 2-goal lead in the first half but a resurgent Liverpool inspired by captain Steven Gerrard eventually won the match on penalties.

This match is often known as the ‘Steven Gerrard Final’ for that day the talismatic captain almost single handedly won Liverpool the game. He had the assist for Liverpool’s first goal and then scored himself to level the score at 2-2.

However, West Ham took the lead in the 63rd minute with Paul Konchesky scoring from what seemed to be intended as a cross. The Reds were on the verge of defeat when Gerrard scored a screamer in the 1st minute of injury time to make it 3-3 and take the game into extra time.

Make sure you have your headphones on, for the commentator goes absolutely berserk while praising Steven Gerrard.
