Age is just a number, and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry is the living proof of that.
The 37-year-old striker led his side to a 2-1 victory over Kansas City with an absolute screamer in the 52nd minute of the game which was eventually the match winning goal.
Following the victory, coach Mike Petke was all praises for the French striker in a post-match interview.
“I had a long talk with Thierry earlier in the week,” the Red Bulls coach was quoted by NY Times. “Together, we rededicated ourselves and tried to figure some stuff out. I told him before, ‘You showed what a captain is by coming to me earlier in the week and speaking about things. Now you’re going to show what a captain is on the field,’ and he did.”
He was also adjudged as the man of the match.
