Video: Walcott would welcome Suarez to Arsenal

Theo Walcott discusses the prospect of Liverpool striker luis Suarez signing for Arsenal.

Theo Walcott, Arsenal forward (Q:You’ve said you want to play as a central striker, what do you make of the bid for Luis Suarez?) “Well I actually just saw Luis just a minute ago actually in the dressing room! (laughter) He’s alright! No, I don’t know, it’s not for us to comment, we’re like everyone else on that side of things, we don’t really take too much interest in that. What we see in the squad now is the start of the season. I’m sure there will be a few new faces, but I’ll ask the manager the same question you asked me about that.”

Theo Walcott, Arsenal forward (Q: Would Luis Suarez make Arsenal better? Would another player of high quality improve things?) “I think you’re not going to get an average player coming to Arsenal. I think that every player that is here is a top class player. The boss has believed in so many players that he’s brought in here and they’ve done so well. So if he (Luis Suarez) comes, great, whoever comes in. If we stay as we are now, you know we’re a great team anyway, we showed that in the last ten games I felt last season, we just need to do that on a more consistent level at the start of this year. But like I say every player at Arsenal is a top player.”
