Video: Wayne Rooney expresses his anger at Manchester United defender after poor defending

Chris Smalling, Adnan Januzaj and Wayne Rooney of Manchester United show their disappointment after seeing their side concede yet another goal against Leicester City.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was disappointed with his side’s defensive performance, and was caught on camera expressing his discontent after Estaban Cambiasso equalised in the 64th minute of the game, scoring Leicester City’s third goal in the process.

Despite being 3-1 down with only 30 minutes to go, a newly promoted side that is Leicester City made a stellar comeback as they defeated Manchester United at the King Power Stadium following a shocking second-half show from Louis van Gaal's men.

Following the defeat, he told the press how disappointed he was with his team-mates, and insisted that the team has to tighten up at the back.

“It’s really disappointing,” he said. “Going 3-1 up especially and then losing the game, it’s hard to take. We should have done better as a team, seen the game out and won it from the position we were in. [There were] some mistakes and we didn’t do well enough as a team to stop their goals. It’s a game where we played some great stuff, scored some great goals and conceded some sloppy goals.”

He continued, “We have to do better; we know that - as a team we have to do better. It’s not nice when you concede goals when you know we can prevent them. Everyone individually as a player knows that. They had the momentum with them in the last twenty minutes and we had to somehow try and find our composure and see the game out, but we failed to do that.”
