Nick Powell, who’s on-loan at Wigan from Manchester United scored a spectacular brace last night to give Wigan a historic European victory over Slovenian club Maribor. Tavares scored the only goal for the visitors in the 60th minute.

The victory last night leaves Wigan second on the Group D table, 2 points behind leaders Rubin Kazan.
