Video: Zidane comments on youth football

Former French international Zinedine Zidane spoke to the media in London, England on Saturday, September 7th.

Zinedine Zidane said: “France against Brazil in ’98 is a minor memory for me…. no, I am only joking. Obviously one of the greatest memories of my life as a soccer player and in general. It was fantastic to win a World Cup in France with the French team against the great Brazil. It is obviously fantastic. I’m sure that for these kids playing today this match – France against Brazil in Wembley – it’s going to be a fantastic memory, I’m sure, and if I may say, I hope France will win.”

“To be honest, we don’t have any advice to give to Brazilian players in general. Just looking at them and watching them play is advice to us. They are giving us some advice, playing as they do. But yesterday I was watching the semi-finals and every year, each generation brings new talents and there are always one or two or three players that really stand out and yesterday two or three players stood out as well in the team. So once again, there is no advice to give them. It’s rather us who can learn from them.”
