Video: Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims 'There can only be one boss'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won Sweden’s player of the year award for the tenth time

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is well known for his gigantic ego and he prides himself on it. This week Ibrahimovic was crowned Sweden’s Footballer of the Year for the 10th time in a row and with this latest accolade it has distilled his ever growing ego.

The Sweden international has always been known to speak in the third person in reference to himself and he does it so well, like a swaggering peacock. He is famous for having an egocentric attitude and if it were your friend going on about that one wonder goal he scored two years then it would get on your nerve.

But not in the Swede’s case. Everyone can’t help but love him for regularly grabbing the headlines with his hilarious quotes and in this video clip Ibrahimovic giving us another cracker. The former AC Milan striker gave a couple of interviews to the Swedish press this week following his latest achievement.

In this particular instance, Ibrahimovic describes the singular motivation that drives him on the great deeds.

“Who the boss is? In this team, there is only one boss,” he declares. “Everybody knows who it is.”

Asked by the reporter if he is that boss, he replies ‘Of course’ before putting a huge grin on his face.

He further added: “I like to grab opportunities. I don't like to stand in the shadows. I am meant to be first in line and in the spotlight.

“But that is the type of person I am. It doesn't mean you have to be like that to succeed.”

Ibrahimovic’s contract with the French champions runs out at the end of this season and reports from France suggest Manchester United are lining up on a shock move for the Sweden international.
