Villas-Boas warns Arsenal: Your toughest fixtures are coming up

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has warned Arsenal that their easy run of fixtures is over.

The Gunners have shot up to the top of the Premier League with a fantastic start to the new season. Wenger’s side have won six of their opening 8 matches, amassing 19 points, two clear of second-placed Chelsea.

However, Arsenal have faced just one side to have occupied the top 10 so far and Villas-Boas has warned Wenger that it will get harder.

“We will see the big fixtures coming now for Arsenal,’ he told The Metro.

“They have only played us so far and they have both Chelsea and Manchester City to come, and Liverpool.

“I suppose the fixture list at the moment is in favour of Manchester United as they have played all the big teams so far, apart from us, so that will give them a chance to bounce back, for sure.

“The league looks extremely open. The team in 14th place has 10 points — only nine fewer than the leaders.”

Spurs are fifth in the table, three points behind their north London rivals who face Crystal Palace on Saturday while Villas-Boas has to wait until Sunday to play Hull City at White Hart Lane.

Spurs have created the most chances in the Premier League this season with 111. Chelsea are their closest rivals having created 95 chances.
