Wages of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and every Barcelona star revealed
Barcelona are one of the greatest clubs in world football at the moment and it is no surprise to see that the Catalan giants pay their superstars like Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez incredible amounts of money. According to a report in the Express, every player in the Barcelona squad earns more than £35,000 per week except for third choice goalkeeper Jordi Masip. Lionel Messi even without signing a new contract is still the highest earner at Camp Nou.
While Neymar who recently agreed a contract extension is the second highest earning player and earns handsome wages of £290,000 per week. Unsurprisingly, Luis Suarez is third on this list. The Uruguayan sharpshooter has been in fine form for Barcelona and the club have rewarded him by giving him an eye-popping salary of £240,000 per week.

Famous La Masia graduates Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique are next in line with all of them earning over £130,000 per week. Andres Iniesta is rightly the fourth highest earning member in the Barcelona squad. The Barcelona captain’s contract is running out in 2018, however, on his current deal, Iniesta is earning a cool £165,000 per week.
Sergio Busquets earns £140,000 per week while Gerard Pique earns £130,000 per week. His defensive partner Javier Mascherano is also on par with him and the Argentine also makes £130,000 per week.
Here is the full list of the Barcelona wages:

Probably the most shocking thing about this list is the fact that Barcelona’s midfield star Ivan Rakitic earns lesser than new signings Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer. It is safe to say that Gomes and Alcacer have not been at their best this season.
Another surprising name on this list is veteran French defender Jeremy Mathieu. While the Frenchman has performed solidly whenever called upon, he is clearly not first choice with youngsters like Umtiti waiting in the wings.
With Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta yet to sign a new contract, the wage bill is only to set rise with many reports stating that the new contract will make Messi the highest paid player in Europe.
