Wales vs Montenegro Prediction and Betting Tips | October 14th 2024
Wales and Montenegro return to action in Group B4 of the UEFA Nations League when they square off at the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday. Robert Prosinecki’s men head into the game on a run of five consecutive defeats in all competitions and will be looking to stop the rot.
Wales were left spitting feathers on Friday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Iceland after throwing away a two-goal lead in the final half hour at the Laugardalsvöllur Stadium.
Before that, Craig Bellamy’s side played out a goalless draw with Turkey in the Group B4 curtain-raiser on September 6, three days before claiming a 2-1 victory over Montenegro.
Wales have picked up five points from the first nine available to sit second in the group standings, two points and two places behind first-placed Turkey.
Montenegro, on the other hand, were left empty-handed once again as they fell to a 1-0 loss against Turkey on Friday thanks to a second-half winner from Fenerbahce forward Irfan Can Kahveci.
Prosinecki’s men have lost each of their three games in Group B4, conceding five goals and scoring just once so far. Montenegro, who are currently 74th in the latest FIFA World Rankings, find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table and will head into Monday’s clash in search of a positive result.
