Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was talking to the press in the post-match press conference when some senior Los Blancos players like Karim Benzema, Marcelo and Sergio Ramos along with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Marco Asensio gatecrashed the interview and started celebrating. The stars mobbed their coach and sprayed water all over him, despite giving him a soaking before.
The incident was hilarious in every possible way. But the funniest moment came when Morata managed to lose his balance and took a tumble, prompting hysterical laughter from the players and the spectators.
Real Madrid came from behind to win the UEFA Super Cup in an electrifying encounter. Youngster Asensio scored a stunner in the 21st minute to give Madrid the lead. But Sevilla came back into the game when Franco Vazquez netted the equaliser.
Yevhen Konoplyanka put Sevilla in front, scoring from the Penalty spot after a mistake in the box by Ramos with just 18 minutes left to play. But The Captain made amends for his mistake when he scored a header late into the stoppage time, reminding everyone of his heroics in 2014 Champions League final where he scored a similar goal. Full-back Dani Carvajal’s rose to the occasion and scored a superb solo goal in the 119th minute which sealed the title for the Madrid side.
Zidane was very happy after the victory and praised the “never give up” attitude shown by his players.
'They got ahead in a key part of the game, but we never gave up and Sergio's goal in the last minute brought us back to life.’ Zidane said while interacting with the press.
This is the second title for the Frenchman as a coach .He won the UEFA Champions League back in May when Real Madrid defeated cross-town rivals, Athletico Madrid.
