Arsene Wenger does not rule out possibility to coach England
London, July 3 (IANS) Arsenal chief coach Arsene Wenger has not ruled out a possibility being the England football team coach but insists he has no plans to leave the London club just yet.
Wenger has been heavily linked to the England job as Roy Hodgson quit just after England's shocking 1-2 defeat by minnows Iceland in Euro 2016 on Monday.
However, the 66-year-old has revealed he has no intentions of quitting the Gunners just yet.
"I have a contract until 2017 with Arsenal and I have always respected my contracts, but I don't know what I'll do after," Wenger was quoted as saying by beIN Sports on Saturday.
"But it's a good challenge (to manage England) for any coach," he said.
"The players are young, they have quality players. They can only do better."
Gareth Southgate was in the running to succeed Hodgson but the England U-21 coach has ruled out the move even on an interim basis
