Who are most valuable U21 players in the world right now?
Soccerex have released a list of the 20 most valuable footballers under the age of 21 in the world right now. The study has revealed most of the players ply their trade in Europe with a majority in England and Germany.
Anthony martial has made it to the top of the list, valued at a whopping €41 million. His teammate and new England international Marcus Rashford is also in the top 10. Leroy Sane who is being targeted by every big club in the world right now is second at €37.13 million.
Martial joined United last summer for a fee of £36 million but his value has now risen over the past season. Kingsley Coman who also took part at the Euros is in 5th position at €30.69 million. Coman is at Bayern Munich but is on loan from his parent club Juventus.
The only English player who makes the top 20 list is Tottenham’s Dele Alli who occupies the 4th position being valued at €34.14 million. Alli was very impressive for Spurs last season as their title challenge eventually ended in failure.
Gabriel Jesus, Giovani Lo Celso, Gabriel Barbosa is the only player on the list who does not currently play in Europe. Kelechi Iheanacho is the only non-European player to play in a European club, currently with Manchester City.
The index takes into account layer's age, position, current club, contract length, market value perception, international caps, minutes played, goals, injuries and technical quality from a variety of sources.
