Who was this popular pitch invader at the FIFA World Cup 2014 final?

The intruder at the 2014 World Cup final: Vitaly Zdorovetskiy.

Intruders and streakers in a football match are not a new thing. But at the grandest stage, like the World Cup will raise eyebrows on the security. Though Brazil were a gracious host for the entire tournament, even though their national team got hammered 1-7 in the hands of new World Champions Germany.

Vitaly Zdorovetskiy or, better known by his Youtube username VitalyzdTv, is a well known Russian comedian who is famous for his pranks on people. His Youtube channel, as of July 14, 2014, has around 644 million views and his channel has about 6,400,000 subscribers.

During the World Cup final on Sunday, Vitaly ran onto the pitch with “Natural Born Prankster" written all across his torso, and even went on to kiss Germany’s Bendikt Howedes. He was, however, arrested by the local police later, and had to pay a fine of $100 for his bail.

Although $100 doesn’t sound a lot expensive for someone like Vitaly whose Twitter blew up with him gaining 80,000 followers in the course of 10 minutes following incident.

Vitaly almost tweeted his whole plan in a subtle manner on Twitter

For someone who is known to be a public prankster, the presence of Vitaly in Brazil could have been a big sign.

Now, he tweets about where we can see him during the final two days ahead of the incident. Many of his followers even went onto suggest that Vitaly is probably planning to run accross the field.

Vitaly is still dropping hints.

And he finally does it.

And, a mandatory selfie from prison.
