World Cup qualifiers: Keylor Navas proud of being part of Cosa Rica team

Keylor Navas made his debut for the national side against Suriname

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has said he is proud of being part of Costa Rica's football team.

Costa Rica will face Jamaica on Wednesday night in the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football) World Cup qualifiers, reports Xinhua.

"My first match was against Suriname," he said on Tuesday.

"It was very nice because this was my dream since I was a kid. It is something I cannot explain. Now the only difference is that I have more experience, but the feeling is the same, I feel very proud to go to the field and give it all."

The Costa Rican star will start in the game against Jamaica at the National Stadium here.

Costa Rica tied 1-1 last Friday in Jamaica, so Navas said the team needs concentration to achieve victory.

"Soccer has no secrets," he said. "If we want to win we have to be focused. We cannot give away time, we have to go out giving all since the beginning. Mistakes are result of the lack of concentration."

Costa Rica is the leader of CONCACAF Group B with seven points, with two victories and one tie, followed by Jamaica and Panama who have four points each and Haiti, with only one point.
