FIFA World Cup qualifiers: European Playoffs draw
The draw for the playoffs to determine the last four teams to qualify from Europe for the 2014 World Cup was held in Zurich on Monday.
The draw threw a stand-out tie as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s Sweden will be up against Cristiano Ronaldo‘s Portugal. Most people would have liked to watch both players in action in Brazil next year but unfortunately for the neutrals, only one can make it.
Although Ukraine could prove to be a tricky fixture for former champions France, the French will be confident of qualifying for the World Cup.
The teams to have already qualified from Europe are: Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, England, Russia, and Bosnia.
Full draw:
Portugal v Sweden
Ukraine v France
Greece v Romania
Iceland v Croatia
