WWE News: Seth Rollins, Cesaro and Charlotte meet Chelsea captain John Terry
WWE Superstars Seth Rollins, Cesaro and WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte recently crossed paths with English footballer John Terry at The O2 Arena in London to witness a WWE live event.
With club football currently on hold due to the international break, Terry was left with ample time to take his family out to witness some high-octane wrestling. The 35-year-old retired from international football in 2012 and saw his team register a 1-0 win over Slovakia in their first qualifier for the 2018 FIFA World Cup over the weekend – courtesy of Adam Lallana’s 95th-minute winner.
Many of Terry’s teammates at Chelsea FC had also gone out for international duty and will be returning to the domestic fold ahead of Sunday’s crunch encounter against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
Terry was accompanied by his wife and two children for the WWE live event and were seen spending quality time with the Superstars, while also posing for the shutterbugs. The Terry family met with Rollins, Cesaro and Charlotte at the official pre-show party, which was hosted at the Brooklyn Bowl.
The other big names participating from the WWE in the live event included WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns and The New Day, while London 2012 Games gold medallist Anthony Ogogo was also in attendance, so was the entire squad of The Saracens.
Seth Rollins has recently turned babyface on Raw after Triple H turned on him at last week’s Raw to help Kevin Owens win the WWE Universal Championship, which was relinquished by Finn Balor due to a shoulder injury that will keep him out for up to 6 months.
Cesaro had also suffered a ‘kayfabe’ injury recently and currently finds himself one loss away from being out of contention for the WWE World Championship as he trails 3-1 to Sheamus in a Best-of-7 series.
Charlotte recently won the WWE Women’s Championship back from Sasha Banks at SummerSlam and is currently seen feuding with newly promoted Diva, Bayley.
This is what Terry posted on his Instagram account:
Great night at the o2 Arena watching the WWE with the family. The kids loved it
