WWE star Triple-H reveals his love for West Ham United, tips Andy Carroll to be a wrestler
WWE star Triple-H has revealed that he is a fan of the English Premier club West Ham United and pinpointed Hammers striker, Andy Carroll to be a possible wrestling star. The executive vice president of the WWE is currently in London preparing for a ‘NXT UK’ Takeover tour event at the Wembley stadium.
“West Ham is probably the closest to what we do, with the passion of their fanbase and their loyalty, right? That's the closest to what we do.”
The 13-time World Wrestling champion was asked as to which current West Ham player he thinks can be a potential wrestler, he took the name of Andy Carroll and the reasons he cited for his choice were the striker’s knack of going tough on opponents and his long hair.
“Maybe a player like Andy Carroll. He is tall, likes to play it tough with the opposition and has the right looks with the long hair. He could be interesting,” Triple-H said.
The wrestling star was also gifted a jersey by the London-based club with his name and the #1 imprinted on the back. He shared a picture of himself with the jersey on his twitter account.
West Ham United also posted a tweet stating that Triple-H is a Hammers fan with a picture of the wrestler holding his trademark sledgehammer.

The series of posts on social media did not stop there as Andy Carroll posted a series of tweets as well which acknowledged the fact that Triple-H was indeed a West Ham fan and towering striker seemed to extend an invite for a wrestling match with latter.
This will not be the first tryst of WWE with England as the ‘RAW’ edition of WWE had toured the country last month. Earlier in November, when ‘RAW’ was hosted by the Manchester Arena, Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney knocked out WWE star Wade Barrett after the two got into an altercation on camera.
