Rumour: Liverpool looking to bring Xherdan Shaqiri to Anfield

Xherdan Shaqiri may be on his way out of Allianz Arena as Liverpool look to get the Swisss international to Anfield. Liverpool had tried to sign the 22-year-old Bayern Munich winger in the summer but failed to secure his services.

As per Bleacher Report, Liverpool boss Brendan Rogers looks forward to sign the Swiss International on a potential loan deal. Xherdan Shaqiri will also be benefited by this temporary move as he will be getting more first-team football which will boost his chances of being in Switzerland national team in the World Cup.

Liverpool already consist of a young and talented midfield including the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Victor Moses (who is also on loan), Jordan Henderson and also Steven Gerrard and the addition of Xherdan Shaqiri would be great for the Merseyside team.

Shaqiri has not played many games this season under new Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola. In his 12 games, Shaqiri has scored in 4 of them and has also assisted 4. Liverpool’s signing of the talented Swiss youngster could boost Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League. Liverpool currently stand first in the Premier League ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.
