Yaya Toure will most likely leave Manchester City this summer: Agent
According to Sky Sports, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is most likely leaving the club this summer. His agent, Dimitri Seluk, said it is ‘90% certain’ that he will leave but will not make a decision until the season is over.
Manchester City will end the season trophyless after spending millions over the past few seasons and his agent confirmed that there were three clubs trying to get the 31-year-old’s signature. Toure failed to reach the standards he set last season when he scored 24 goals in all competitions as City won the Premier League and the League Cup.
But this season, he has only managed to score 9 goals in all competitions. City have also suffered when he went to play for Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations – the main reason for their downfall when they were neck and neck with league leaders Chelsea.
Inter Milan and PSG linked to Yaya Toure
Seluk said: “It's 90% certain he'll leave Manchester City this summer. Nothing has been decided - we are waiting until the end of the season.”
Both Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in securing his services. PSG can offer the Ivory Coast international Champions League football while Inter is managed by former City manager Roberto Mancini. Toure’ s contract at City runs till 2017 after he signed a four-year deal in 2013.
Toure turns 32 on 13 May and Seluk even joked about getting Toure a birthday cake – something which caused a storm when City did not get him one last year.
He said: “I have come to London to bring Yaya a birthday cake and I want to check that Manchester City buy Yaya a cake for his birthday too.”
