"You have to say they are favourites" - Ex-Manchester United star makes Premier League title prediction between Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal will be part of the three-horse race for the Premier League title. He made the claim even as he dubbed City favorites to lift their record-extending fifth consecutive league crown.

The Frenchman heaped praise on Mikel Arteta for the work that he's done with a young squad at his disposal. He said the Gunners' main players have become experienced enough to vie with heavyweights like Liverpool and Manchester City.

Here's what Saha told cryptocasinosuk.net:

"I like what Arsenal’s and Arteta has done over the last few years. They have added quality to the squad, but, more importantly, their main players have become more experienced in fighting for the Premier League title.
"Arteta looked at his defence, which was the best in the Premier League last season, and he added to it. They’ve changed their style and have become a team that is a lot harder to beat. They are a very difficult team to play against – quite streetwise. Ruthless."

However, Saha admitted that the north London outfit still lack a striker who consistently scores goals at crucial junctures. Kai Havertz witnessed a purple patch at the end of last season and registered 14 goals and seven assists in 51 games across competitions. While he has already scored three goals in seven games across all competitions this season, he's far from clinical in front of goal.

Moving on to Arne Slot's side, Saha made a similar claim. However, he said Darwin Nunez's finishing gets overshadowed by players like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz, who have consistently been among the goals.

Here's what he said:

“Liverpool have got brilliant firepower. Like Arsenal, you look at them and think in the number nine position, who is going to score twenty goals for you? That isn’t much of an issue when you have Salah and, Luis Diaz has started the season on fire. I’m a massive fan of Diaz."
"Darwin Nunez is a player that has a lot of interesting qualities. If he could put everything together, he would be a very dangerous player in the Premier League."

Saha eventually pegged Manchester City as the winners of the 2024-25 Premier League season. He claimed that Pep Guardiola has a squad that is experienced and has a good striker. He said:

"Both Arsenal and Liverpool can challenge Manchester City, but you have to say that City are the favourites. City have the best squad, the best striker and they have a wonderful collection of defenders. They have an arrogance about them because they’ve done it all before and they also have stability.
"When you put all of those things together, it’s worth an extra five points over the course of a season. You never hear anything about players being unhappy or discontent behind-the-scenes."

The former Manchester United man said that Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur will ultimately fight for the number four spot.

How have Manchester City, Arsenal & Liverpool performed so far in the Premier League?

The reigning champions are atop the Premier League table despite a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at home last weekend. They're currently undefeated in the league, having won their previous four games, and are stand tall with 13 points. City's mettle will however be tested as their star midfielder Rodri has been ruled out of the rest of the season due to an ACL tear.

As for the Gunners, they looked in pole position to hand City their first loss last weekend. However, John Stones' equalizer in extra-time ensured that the Cityzens continued their undefeated streak. Arsenal are currently fourth with 11 points.

As for Liverpool, they currently occupy the second spot on the Premier League table and are a point behind City. The Reds extraordinarily started their season but a loss to Nottingham Forest caused a stain on their invincible run. However, Liverpool bounced back and how, with a thumping 5-1 victory over West Ham United.
