Zlatan Ibrahimovic picks his candidate for FIFA Ballon d'Or - Santa Claus!
The prestigious FIFA Ballon d’Or award will be presented to one of three nominees on January 13, 2014. Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Franck Ribery are in the three-man shortlist but Zlatan Ibrahimovic has a fourth contender.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker is in Qatar, where PSG will play Real Madrid in a friendly match.
And when the press questioned him on who could win, he jokingly replied, “The Ballon d’Or? For me, the three deserve to win it, but the one who must have it is Santa Claus!”
The 32-year-old Sweden captain also talked about his future at the Paris club, “Yes, it’s an option for me to finish in Paris and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
The friendly match also sees PSG reunite with Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who led them to the Ligue 1 title last season. And Ibrahimovic was full of praise for the former manager.
“We’ll see Carlo Ancelotti, who was at the initiative of the new Parisian project and he left his mark. He pulled the group and the club up. He is a great coach, and I was happy to work with him at Paris and I wish him the best in Madrid.”
